Vision-guided strap cutting prototype
Vision, motion control, custom embedded + PC integration
Designed and built a prototype system to locate and cut textile straps at precise positions using
camera-based alignment, controllable lighting, and motion control. This serves as a foundation for
future productized strap-cutting modules.
- Integrated camera, WS2812 lighting, and stepper motion into a unified workflow.
- Supported multiple strap patterns and colors with recipe-based vision models.
- Logged cycles and basic performance data for future optimization.
Thermoformed parts handling & packaging concept
Concept design, packaging, modular automation
Developed a modular concept for automating stacking, counting, and bagging thermoformed plastic parts
to relieve operator bottlenecks and smooth downstream flow at multiple thermoformers.
- Mapped current operator tasks and constraints at each thermoformer.
- Proposed base units for counting, stacking, and bagging with upgrade paths to higher speeds.
- Outlined a roadmap from manual handling to full packaging automation in phases.
Custom motion & fixture systems (ongoing)
Fixtures, small motion systems, controls
Ongoing work includes custom fixtures, small motion systems, and control panels for clients in
packaging and light manufacturing. Many of these projects feed directly into reusable modules for
future cells.
